Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar has today (Tuesday) welcomed backing for the Stability Treaty from the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF).

The IHF has directly linked a Yes vote to jobs and investment, and said it will provide certainty on future Exchequer funding.

“I very much welcome this backing for the Stability Treaty from the Irish Hotels Federation. This important organisation represents900members, which employ more than 54,000 people in hotels and guesthouses.

“This sends a clear signal that a Yes vote is important for jobs and investment. Our tourism industry is already playing a vital role in our economic recovery. For tourism, and for jobs, it’s crucial that we show potential visitors that Ireland remains at the heart of Europe”
