Deputy Deering when welcoming the announcement said “this project will be of huge benefit to Carlow, alternative farm enterprises such as this will create much needed jobs and provide additional income for Rural Ireland.”

“In my role as chair of an all party committee working with The Commission for the Economic Development of Rural Areas (CEDRA) a group headed by Pat Spillane, we are working to find ways and initiatives to get Rural Ireland working again and help keep our communities alive. This type of diversification into niche markets is to be encouraged and support will be given for business creation and development.
