Carlow benefits from the Structures at Risk Fund

Carlow Fine Gael TD, Pat Deering, has said that Carlow is to benefit from the Structures at Risk Fund, with St. John’s Church, Clonmore to receive €20,000 in funding.

“Over €900,000 in funding has been allocated to 57 heritage projects nationwide and it is great to see Carlow benefitting from this fund designed to protect Ireland’s built heritage.

“It is really crucial that we protect and maintain the wonderful buildings of heritage around the county, which are so important to local communities. This fund is also integral to supporting employment in the area of conservation and construction, an important part of this Government’s rural regeneration plans.

“Fine Gael in Government is determined to ensure that a strong economy delivers better services and infrastructure for communities all around Ireland. Supporting local employment in the protection of our built heritage is a very important part of that and I am delighted to see Carlow receive an allocation under this fund.”
