€58k in Lottery Grants for community and voluntary organisations in Carlow – DEERING.

Carlow Fine Gael TD, Pat Deering, has welcomed the allocation of €58k in Lottery Grants for community and voluntary organisations in County Carlow, which provide healthcare related and social care services.

“My colleague, Minister for Health, Simon Harris, today announced €2.7 million in Health National Lottery Grants for community and voluntary organisations across Ireland.

“Over 120 community groups and voluntary organisations have received funding to support their work.

“Here in Carlow €57,845.00 has been allocated – Irish Wheelchair Association, Carlow €10,000 (gym equipment) Tullow Day care Centre €9,091 (food bags) St Catherines Community Services, €10,000 (purchase an oven) and St Fiacc’s House, €28,754 (wheelchair accessible bus)

“This funding will make a real impact on the services that volunteers and groups can deliver and help them continue to make a difference to the lives of the many people who use these services.

“As the economy continues to recover, Fine Gael is determined to ensure that the benefits of this recovery are felt in every community across Ireland and I am determined to ensure they’re felt across Carlow.

“As a Government TD I am working hard to ensure that the Government delivers for Carlow. We are using the economic progress to make people’s lives a little better, and funding allocations like this one are very much part of that.”
